Tuesday, March 26, 1998 This is TEC.pm 0.4, a Perl interface to the Text Encoding converter. It uses the AppleScript Extention TEC OSAX. The Text Encoding Converter allows you, to translate from and to different Macintosh charsets to/from Unicode, different ISO-encodings and national encoding standards. REQUIREMENTS: * The CFM-68k or PPC-Verion of MacPerl 5.1.9r4 * The TEC Osax 1.1.1 * Text Encoding Converter 1.2 or higher. (ships with OS8, Cyberdog, Java,etc) The TEC OSAX can be obtained from: http://www.bekkoame.or.jp/~iimori/sw/TECOSAX.html Installation - Be sure Text Encoding Converter 1.2 or higher is installed inside your System-Folder. - Install the OSAX TEC.68K (CFM-68k Version) or TEC.PPC in your "Scripting Additions"-Folder - Put the file TEC.pm into lib:Mac Please let me know any errors, problems or features you would like to see.
